Lemon Zebra is pleased to present Red Carpet Icons, a collage series exploring the emotional power of words, image, and cultural memory.

For the artist, quotes have always held a particular fascination. A single sentence spoken in a moment can shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. This series began as an exploration of that influence, examining how language, fashion, and public personas combine to leave lasting impressions.

Originally created in 2004, the works were assembled using tactile, found materials including a typewriter, hand-cut text, reclaimed Levi’s 501 denim, carpet fragments, felt, and glue. Each piece reflects a process grounded in physical collage and intuitive composition, where texture and typography carry equal importance.

The collection consists of six original artworks and two accompanying denim collage bags, conceived as extensions of the series’ material language.

Although produced over two decades ago, Red Carpet Icons is being released publicly for the first time now, offering a rare view into an early body of work that foreshadows Lemon Zebra’s ongoing exploration of message, surface, and cultural storytelling.
