It all began in the 90s—when colour was bold, art was handmade, and design was full of joy.
Lemon Zebra Designs started with hand-painted ceramic tiles, crafted locally and loved widely. From our studio to homes across Australia and New Zealand, our signature tile plaques sold over 80,000 units and featured in Freedom Furniture, Ahern’s (now David Jones), and eventually Bunnings.
Fast forward to today, Lemon Zebra Designs is a creative studio with 30 years of experience in product design, licensing, and distribution. Founded by artist and designer Justine Playford, our focus has shifted to what we love most—designing and producing fun, original products that make the world smile.
